2/3 cup + 2 teaspoons cocoa
3 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans - chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly combine dry ingredients in a heavy 4-quart saucepan. Stir in milk and water. Bring to a bubbly boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring to 234º, soft ball stage, or until a small amount of syrup dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball.

Remove from the heat; add butter and vanilla. Stir until it starts to thicken and add pecans.

Pour into a lightly buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Cool completely; cut into 1" squares.
