2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup Crisco
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. 2. Cut in Crisco with dough blender until crumbly. 3. Add milk and mix. 4. Knead, then pat out to ½ inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. (Dip biscuit cutter in flour between cuts.) 5. Place closely on greased pan. 6. Bake in very hot oven at 450º for 12 minutes. Makes 10 biscuits.

- handle dough as little as possible. Dough will get tough if you do.
