½ cup butter
5 tbs sugar
½ cup boiling water
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp yeast
½ cup cold water
dash of salt
3 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl. 2. Add boiling water and let cool. 3. Add beaten egg. 4. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in cold water. Add to mixture. 5. Add salt with flour. 6. Mix, cover and refrigerate overnight. 7. Divide dough into 2 balls. Roll into circle ¼ inch thick x 12 inches. 8. Cut into 8 pie-shaped pieces. Roll up, beginning at rounded edge. 9. Place on cookie sheet with point underneath. Repeat with other ball. 10. Let rise in warm place about 3 hours. 11. Bake in 400º
oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 16. (Or place dough into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until golden brown.) 12. Brush with melted butter.
