4-5 handfuls of fresh green beans, washed with ends cut off
3-4 slices bacon cut into small pieces
1 yellow onion cut top to bottom for strips

salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. ground savory
Directions:
Directions:
Sauté bacon until almost light brown in pot over medium heat.
Add onion and sauté until almost translucent.
Then add green beans and 1 cup water until bottom has about 1 1/2" water. Add spices.
Cover with lid slightly vented over medium heat stirring green beans occasionally until green beans are tender, but not limp.
