4 oz. unsalted butter cut into 5 pieces
41/2 oz. finely chopped lightly salted macadamia nuts (about 1 C)
1 C sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
preheat oven to 350

1) Line two or three baking pans with parchment paper.
2) In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, and continue cooking until butter solids at bottom of pan turn deep golden brown (not black). Approx. 5-6 minutes
3) Immediately remove pan from heat and pour butter into a small bowl, scraping pan to get all of the butter.
4) Let cool for about five minutes.
5) Combine nuts, egg, vanilla and salt in a medium bowl and stir until blended.
6) Slowly add browned butter and continue stirring until blended.
7) Drop batter by heaping tsp. onto baking sheets about 3 inches apart.
8) Bake 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
9) Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks.
