Tomatoes (ripe)
Quart jars
Salt

Directions:
Wash, peal and core tomatoes. Pack in jars. (Do not add water). Be sure juice covers the tomatoes. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to each jar. (Sprinkle salt on top of the tomatoes). Tighten the ring to seal the jars. Put in a cold oven on the bottom rack. Turn oven to 200º. And cook for 2 hours. (Do not open oven door during process ). After cooking for 2 hours, take out of oven and cover with a towel until cool or just leave in oven until cool.
