Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 Granny Smith apples
4 other apples of your choice (cortland if you can find them)
half cup of sugar
tablespoon of flour (and a sprinkle of flour on bottom pie crust)
teaspoon of cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1 Betty Crocker Ready Made Pie Crust
dabs of butter over apples
brush a little melted butter on bottom crust

Directions:
Directions:
Take ready made crust out of package and unfold (from the frig, not frozen). Let come to room temperature and roll out thinner. Sprinkle with flour and place one half face down (floured side) in deep-dish pie plate. Leave the other half on counter for the end to cover.
Mix half cup of sugar, Tbsp. flour, tsp. of cinnamon and dash of nutmeg in bowl with a fork
Core and peel all apples and slice into 1/4 inch slices or however thick/thin you like.
Pour sugar mixture over apples and stir to coat. Place in deep-dish pie crust and dot with pieces of butter (about 8 dots of butter)
Carefully place other pie crust half on top and tuck and seal edges carefully. Use tin foil to cover the outer edges of crust to keep from getting too dark.
Use small knife to make decorative slits on top of pie crust and sprinkle a little bit of sugar on top
Bake in 425 degrees oven about 50 minutes or until golden brown on top.
