¾ lb. Ditalini pasta
¼ lb. hamburger (80% lean/20% fat)
2 sausage patties (sweet or hot)
1 medium onion chopped
About 2 tbs Olive Oil
Tsp each of salt & pepper
3 medium diced garlic cloves or tbls of granulated garlic
1-2 beef and chicken base cubes
Few sprinkles of red pepper flakes
1 can drained chic peas (garbanzo beans); you can add any beans you like
Tomato Sauce (any kind that you like)
You need a frying pan AND a large saucepan

Brown hamburger and sausage in frying pan coated with a good amount of olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Add garlic after about 4-5 minutes and sprinkle red pepper flakes (meat takes about 8 minutes or so to cook).
In a saucepan, bring 2 quarts salted water to a boil and add Ditalini pasta and cook about 8 minutes (you want it al dente). Add 2 each, chicken and beef base cubes and allow to disolve. Drain some water off to the level of 1 ½ inches above the pasta. Add the cooked meat mixture and a cup of your favorite tomato sauce. Let all come to a slight boil. Add can drained garbanzo bean (chic peas). If you like it with more sauce, add it.
(You can also use kidney beans or any kind of beans that you like)
