1 lb. of strip steak chopped into chunks (it’s more tender that stew meat)
Olive oil to coat bottom of large sauce pan
Large chopped onion
3 medium large potatoes chopped in chunks
3 large stalks of celery chopped
3 medium carrots chopped
2 cloves chopped garlic (or you could use granulated)
1 can of tomatoe paste
1 can or package of thawed peas
¼ cup of red or white wine
2 each: beef and chicken base cubes
Seasonings:
Tbls salt
½ tbls pepper
Parsely, oregano and basil to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onions and meat in olive oil. Add chopped garlic when the meat is almost done and also add the tomato paste and stir constantly as the meat finishes browning. Add quart or so of water and add all the chopped vegetables. (Note: water should cover the vegetables about and inch or so. If you like stew thicker, use less water)
Add beef and chicken base cubes, wine and all seasonings. Let all cook about 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender. Add peas at the end and allow them to heat in stew.
Serve with crusty bread.
