1 1/4 c powdered sugar
1 T meringue powder
2 T water
1/4 tsp butter flavoring

Mom's note: *I usually double and use 5 T water and adjust accordingly

Combine all ingredients until smooth and use to decorate sugar cookies.

Okay, so maybe this icing wasn't named for the Kansas City Royals but I'll bet Mom thought it should have been. She loved the Royals! She was their number one fan. Well, maybe her mother, our beloved Granny, had been the number one fan, but Mom loved her Royals. And her favorite--Salvador Perez. Dad was okay with Mom's love for Salvy. After all, he and Salvy share the same birthday. Mom's dream was to someday have the chance to bake cookies for Salvy. Someday . . .
