2/3 C. shortening
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 C. all purpose flour
1/3 C. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 C. peppermint crunch baking chips, chopped
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375º.
2. In large bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar.
3. Mix in water and vanilla
4. Add eggs.
5 In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
6. Stir in peppermint chips and chocolate chips.
7. Drop by tablespoon. Bake for 8 minutes

*Chill the dough while cookies bake.
