6 large baking potatoes; peeled and cut in chunks for cooking; pot shall be deep enough to allow for all ingredients to be added later
1-1/2 to 2 cups of flour to make dumplings
enough salted water to cover potatoes
1 stick of butter
1 bag of unseasoned bread stuffing
1-1/2 qt of heavy cream
salt & pepper
newspaper or silicon mat to roll out dumplings

Directions:

Boil chunks of potatoes in a large stock pot until tender in salted water

Place flour for dumpling dough in a large bowl; create a well in the center of the dough. Add water and mix until the dough that forms has the consistency of a biscuit dough.

Roll dough out on newspaper or silicon mat forming dumplings that are ¾” to 1” thick square; cut dumplings into 1” chunks

Add dumplings to potatoes and cook until the dumplings float to the top

Pour off the water and add the remaining ingredients.

Stir; add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot.
