2½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
½ cup strawberry jam
½ cup shortening
3 tsp baking powder
½ cup milk
2 eggs
1 tap vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Place soft shortening in a bowl, add flour, sugar and salt. Stir, then add milk. Beat for 2 minutes with mixer. Add eggs, vanilla and jam. Beat 1 minute. Bake at 375º F. Makes two 9" layers
