1/2 C Crisco shortening
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 C. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 C. flour
2/3 C. pecans (optional

Directions:
Directions:

1. Mix crisco, brown sugar, and eggs together until blended.
2. Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until well blended. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Batter will be consistency of a thick cake like batter.
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on parchment paper.
4. Bake at 375º until golden brown...approximately 8-9 minutes.

Burnt Butter Icing

1 1/2 sticks butter heated to golden brown
4 C. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Hot water to make nice spreading consistency
