1 gallon plus 1 pint Chicken Broth
10 cubes chicken bullion
3 cups Self-Rising flour (plus a little more)
1 cup water
1 egg
1/4 c. Crisco shortening
white pepper

3-4 c. de boned chicken - white and/or dark meat

Directions:
Directions:
Mix with hands - Start with 3 cups of flour. Mix in the shortening, egg, and water. Add flour as needed to form a stiff ball. Divide into 4 equal parts. Roll dough on pastry sheet until you can see the writing thru the dough. cut 3/4" wide strips and 3/4" length - dust with flour as needed. DO Not Stir after adding dumpling.
Broth must be at a Rolling boil. Add 1/2 of strips that are cut. - add white pepper - bring back to a boil and add the other half. Shake the boiler between addition of dumplings - also adding white pepper (if desired) Continue with the other 3 parts of dough. After all dumplings are in - you may now use a wooden spoon to stir - very gently. Simmer 30 -45 minutes Now add cooked chopped chicken. Turn off heat. Cover and let set.
