6 eggs
1/2 gallon milk
1/2 t salt
3 t vanilla
2 c sugar
1 can evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt, vanilla and evaporated milk. Set aside. Heat milk to a scald (just before boiling). Remove from heat and let cool for about 20 minutes. Slowly add egg mixture, stirring constantly! When thoroughly mixed, pour into ice cream freezer container. Put in fridge for at least 4 hours; overnight is better. When cool, freeze according to directions.
