Directions:
Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, shortening, salt and yeast. Add warm water, milk and egg. Beat with mixer for 1 minute, then beat for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining flour to make it easy to handle. Turn dough onto lightly floured board surface. Knead 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl and turn greased side up. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled. Dough is ready if indentations remain when touched. Grease bottom and sides of 2 round pans. Punch dough down. Cut down in half and cut each half into 24 pieces. Shape into balls. Place close together in pans. Brush with melted butter. Cover and let rise in warm place about 30 minutes or until doubled. Heat oven to 400. Bake 12-18 minutes or until light brown.
