1/2 c ketchup
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c soy sauce
1 t garlic powder
1 t ground ginger
2 lbs boneless beef sirloin steaks cut into 1 1/2" cubes
1 1/2 c of 1" pineapple chunks
1/2 lb whole fresh mushrooms
1/2 lb pearl onions
1 large green or sweet red pepper cut into 1" pieces
any other vegetable you like, cut into 1" to 1 1/2" pieces (B size potatoes, grape tomatoes, etc.)


Directions:

Combine first five ingredients and toss with the sirloin cubes. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain the beef, reserving the liquid for marinade. Thread the meat, pineapple, and vegetables (alternating) on a metal or pre-soaked bamboo skewer. Grill over high heat for 15-20 minutes, turning often, until meat reaches desired temperature and vegetables are tender. Simmer the marinade in a small saucepan over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove meat and vegetables from skewers and serve in a bowl with marinade or leave on skewers and brush with marinade.
