2 pkg saugage links (Johnsonville) 16 links per pkg, cooked in pan, and cooled
2 pkg crescent rolls (Pillsbury) 8 rolls per container (refrigerated section)
1 can cherry pie filling

1/3 c. powder sugar
1/2 tsp soft butter
2 drops vanilla
1 tsp milk; add 1/2 tsp more as needed).

Directions:
Directions:
Open crescent roll packages (keep them refrigerated until ready to use; the dough is difficult to work with if it gets too warm). Roll each triangle shape out thin and into nice triangle shapes.
Place 1 cooled, cooked sausage link in center of each triangle. Add Tablespoon of cherry pie filling (at least 3 cherries on each sausage). Fold ends of each triangle together to enclose link & cherries completely (pinch, stretch, fold however necessary to enclose). Place each closed wrapped roll onto baking sheet.
Bake at 375 º for 11 - 13 minutes till light and nicely browned.

While rolls are baking, make icing by mixing icing ingredients, adding more milk as needed to make it creamy and spreadable.

Let rolls cool slightly, spread icing on top, and serve while warm with fresh fruit..

Variations -
You can use raspberry jam in place of cherry pie filling.
Or: try 1+ Tablespoon apple mixture:
(2 apples, peeled, seeded and chopped, cooked on stove top with 1/2 cup water until soft (but not mushy); add cinnamon if desired.
