1¼ cups cooking oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large apples cut in small pieces
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oil, sugar and eggs, beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Combine flour, salt and baking soda and add to mixture. Add the vanilla. Fold in the apples and pecans. Bake in well greased and floured tube pan at 325º for 1 hour and 20 minutes. cool for 20 minutes and pour the following sauce over cooled cake.

1 stick margarine or butter
½ cup light brown sugar packed
2 teaspoons milk
Combine ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook 20 minutes. While hot pour over cooled cake.
