2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans - chopped
powdered sugar

I usually double this recipe

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar and butter together
Then add flour, vanilla and pecans.
Mix throughly and shape into balls.
Place on baking pan - spray with Pam
Bake at 300º for 40-45 minutes.
When done remove from baking pan and roll in powdered sugar.
Store in air tight container

My Mom (Roberta Haining Drain) and my Aunt (Elsie Haining Boucher) made these every year for Christmas. I hadn't made them for years but then in 2013 (I think) I made them and the aroma brought back many wonderful Christmas memories of them baking for Christmas. I've made them for Christmas since I "discovered" them again!
