1 package (16 ounces) dried green split peas
8 cups chicken broth
2 medium white or sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 medium carrots, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large onions, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
2 cups ham, cubed (about 10 ounces)
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a soup pot; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered about 1-1/2 hours or until peas and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
