1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
6 green apples

Preheat oven to 350º

Bake In an oven safe pie dish (9-10 inch)
Peel and core apples and cut into medium size chunks -place in dish.
Combine flour and sugar and cut up butter/Margarine.
With your fingers work the ingredients together to form small clumps. If too moist add a bit more flour. For a corn meal like texture. Toss mixture over apples.
Bake until the apples are tender and the crumb topping is crisp and deep golden brown, about 50-60 minutes.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
