Soup:
1 tbsp. butter
1 large onion
1 can tomatoes plus 1/2 can of water
Cream and milk to taste

Dumplings:
1 c. flour
2 eggs
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Soup:
Sauté onion and butter in a soup pot. Add tomatoes and 1/2 jar of water; heat until almost boiling.

Melt margarine in a separate pan and add flour. Add to soup pot a little at a time, until onion and tomato mixture is thick. Add cream and milk to taste.

Dumplings:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Drop by spoonful into a pot of boiling, salted water; cook until they rise to the top of the pot.


Ladle soup into bowls and add cooked dumplings to bowl. Serve.
