8 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
2 cups thinly sliced onions

Salt and let stand 1 hour:

Drain and add:
2 cups vinegar
3 cups sugar
2 tsp celery seed
3 inches cinnamon stick – break up
2 tsp turmeric
4 chopped green peppers

Directions:

Bring to a boil
Place in jars and seal tightly according to water bath canning instructions

Makes about 5 pints
