Beef roast
Soup bone, optional
Onions, diced
Carrots, diced
Celery, diced (including tops)
Rutabaga, diced
Cans of diced tomatoes with juice
Beef Bouillon cubes - add what is needed to taste
salt and pepper

Seasonings: a few bay leaves but remove before eating

Directions:
In large soup pan, cover beef roast with water. I have also used good cut up stew meat
Add bouillon cubes.
Add 1 or 2 large cans of whole tomatoes and half of the chopped celery, carrots and onions and save the rest to add at the end. Note: You can add any vegetables that you want…like rutabaga, green beans, cauliflower, etc…….
Cook until roast is tender, take out, cut into chunks, add rest of vegetables and more beef bouillon if needed to the soup stock.

Can add dumplings to soup if desired
