PKG Corned beef - Wash off and put into heavy kettle. Cover with water and add:
1 cut up onion
1 tsp paprika
3 cloves garlic cut up
3 bay leaves
3 heaping TBL pickling spice
2 Tbs. vinegar
2 Tbs. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Double or triple with each piece of corned beef brisket added.

Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2- 1/2 hours or until tender. Cut across the grain. You can surround the brisket with carrots, potatoes, and cabbage during the last hour of cooking.

I got this recipe from a nurse at Froedert Hospital while dad was in there for his liver transplant. Its what I use every year on St Paddy's Day.
