Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Dozen eggs
1 Stick butter, melted
2 Cups milk
5-7 Apples
1 Loaf French bread cut into ½ inch thick slices
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Vanilla

Topping
½ Cup whipping cream
½ Cup Sour cream
¼ Cup Sugar
½ Tsp. Almond Extract/or Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat all 12 eggs. Add milk and vanilla.
Peel skin off apples and cut into slices. In 9X13 pan, add melted butter, and sprinkle brown sugar all around melted butter in pan.
Arrange apples in lines, and sprinkle cinnamon lightly over them. Arrange Slices of bread around pan covering all the apples. Pour milk/egg mixture over the top of bread.
Refrigerator Overnight. I have done this AND I have also cooked it right away. It turns out the same.

Bake uncovered in 350º oven for approximately 45 minutes. It will be puffy looking and slightly brown on top. Test by sticking knife in center to assure that it is cooked throughout. Let cool for about 5 minutes, and run a knife around the edges so it will break loose from the pan. With another serving dish, invert the 9x13 pan over so the apples are now on the top. Be very careful because the hot liquid from the brown sugar and butter will spill out. Put cream topping on each piece as you serve it
