"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
1/2 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Vegetable or Olive Oil
1/4 C. Vinegar
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. You can heat in microwave or on stove until sugar is dissolved. Then let cool.
I sometime combine vinegars to alter taste. You can use a combination of balsamic vinegar with either apple cider or rice vinegar or you can use any flavored balsamic vinegar. I sometimes use a raspberry balsamic in combination with either white, rice or apple cider vinegar. Just be sure total amount of vinegar equals 1/4 cup. This is great on any sales or an oriental salad.
