2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup mayonaise or salad dressing
3 Tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix salad dressing or Mayonaise, sugar together then add vanilla and cocoa. (Beat Well)
Then add flour, hen water a little at a time. Beat well.

Pour into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees. Check for doneness by using a toothpick. When toothpick comes out of cake clean i is done.


When cooled frost with your favorite frosting.

This was a family favorite because it didn't require eggs. We didn't always have eggs.
Sometimes didn't have frosting.
