2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter & 1/2 cup Vegetable Shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 - 12 ounce package of chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In a small bowl combine flour, soda and salt, set aside.
In a larger bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well and add flour mixture. Mix well then add chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes

Removed from cookie sheet immediately onto foil covered counter to cool.
