1 lg Apple
1½ Cups drained peaches (canned or fresh)
2 tsp baking powder
1 C sifted all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
⅔ C white sugar
½ C milk
3 T melted butter
1 C syrup from peaches
⅔ C brown sugar, unpacked
½ C water

Directions:
Directions:
Pare and slice apple into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Top with drained peaches.Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and white sugar. Combine milk and butter, then stir iinto dry mixture. Spread mixture over fruit. Combine peach syrup, brown sugar, and water., heat to boiling. Pour over all. Bake at 350º about 45 min or until done. Serve warm. Other fruits may be used.
