1/4 c. Sugar
1/2 t. Salt
1 c. Scalded Milk

Directions:
In a large bowl mix, butter, sugar, salt and milk. Cool to lukewarm. While cooling dissolve yeast in water in another small bowl. Add yeast mixture to cooled milk mixture with the beaten egg and stir to combine. Set aside. In another bowl mix the remaining ingredients and then mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Cover and let rise overnight. In the morning, turn mixture out onto a floured cutting board or counter and press down. Shape into forms of large biscuits and place in a buttered pan one inch apart. Cover and let rise again. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 25 minutes (presumably at 350 F but this is not mentioned in the recipe).
