2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 large onion
1 small bell pepper
3-4 carrots, sliced
3 large potatoes, large diced
1 medium head of cabbage, cut into small pieces
2 tsp. garlic powder
32 oz. box of beef broth
1 large can(or 2 small cans) diced tomatoes with juice
1 small can tomato sauce
⅓ - ½ c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook meat until no longer pink with onion and pepper.
Add all other ingredients.
Simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender

I sometimes add corn or other left over vegetables on hand.
