⅔ cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup Wesson Oil
1 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
2 packages yeast
1 cup warm water
5 - 6 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, add to sugar, salt, and oil. Add 2 well beaten eggs. Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to cooled milk mixture and add about three cups flour.Beat well. Let rise until double in bulk. Beat down and add about 3 cups of flour, enough to make a soft dough.Grease top of dough. Cover and place in refrigerator over night.
After taking out of refrigerator, flour surface where you will cut out rolls and roll out dough and cut out rolls. Let rolls rise until double in size and bake at 375º for 12 -15 minutes or until golden brown.

You can also skip the refrigerator step and let the dough rise until doubled and then roll out the dough and cut out the roll let rise until double in size and bake at 375º for 12 -15 minutes.

Mrs. Melton was the hostess at the First United Methodist Church of Opelika, Alabama. She was an outstanding cook. She was Crawford Melton's mom. Crawford, not only was a friend , but was the attorney in Opelika that we used for many real estate issues.
