1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 square melted chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Pie Shell - baked
Cool Whip
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, powdered sugar until smooth. Slowly add melted chocolate and vanilla - beat for 15 minutes. Add 1 egg and beat additional 5 minutes. Pour into baked and cooled 9" shell. Top with Cool Whip and chocolate curls. Refrigerate.

I feel like Grama was always looking for the "best recipe" for a dish that someone she loved enjoyed. Chocolate pie happened to be a pie that Uncle Mike loves - I don't think Grama ever made a chocolate pie that he didn't enjoy!
