"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
In a slow cooker, add the frozen hash browns, onion, chicken broth, ham, pepper, thyme and garlic powder. Cover and cook on low 8 hours without opening the lid. When cooking time is up, add the cream cheese to a blender and scoop some broth and some hot potatoes into the blender, just enough to get it going. Blend until smooth. Add this mixture into the slow cooker. Add the shredded cheese and stir. Once cheese is melted, serve.
