3 cups sifted self rising flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 can beer
1 stick butter

*you will need a cast iron skillet for this recipe*
Optional: add 1 can diced green chiles or jalapenos for spice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Place empty pan in oven to heat up. Remove pan from oven and place 1/2 stick of butter in pan to melt it. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar together then add can of beer and mix thoroughly. Pour in batter. Bake for 25 minutes. Melt remaining 1/2 stick of butter in microwave. Remove bread briefly and pour butter on top. Return to oven and cook 5 more minutes.

Serve in skillet. Cut slices like a pie.
