1 t vanilla extract
3½ cups of flour
¾ cup of unsalted butter (1½ sticks), softened
½ t salt
1 can of evaporated milk
2 large eggs
3 T sugar
1 pckg dry yeast
1½ - 2 pounds of ground walnuts
1 cup of sugar


Directions:
Directions:
1. Dissolve yeast in ½ cup of warm water, add salt and dash of sugar. Mix like pancake batter and let rise.

2. Mix ground nuts, vanilla, 1 cup of sugar, and ¾ of evaporated milk (warm). Mix well. Set aside.

3. In a bowl put flour, eggs, soft butter, 3 T sugar, remaining milk and yeast mixture. Mix well.

4. If dough is hard, add water. Kneed dough well.

5. Split dough into 3 balls.

6. Roll each ball into the size of the pan.

7. Split walnut mixture into 3 equal parts.

8. Spread mixture evenly over dough. Roll up lengthwise. Let sit for 1 hour.

9. Beat together 1 small egg, 1 T of water, dash of sugar. Brush the top of each roll with this mixture.

10. Bake at 350º for 45-55 minutes.
