"Diane this is one from Grandma Badding. I'm not sure if Nick is fond of it or not. Bob really likes it. Peel and dice small 5 or 6 good sized spuds. Put in enough water to cover good. simmer on low heat till spuds are very done. Sometimes I mash them up a little to make a thicker soup.
Brown 1 lb. hamburger (Salt + pepper). Add a little onion. Drain off all grease.
Add meat to the potatoes. Next add 1 small can sauerkraut juice and all. Add a little chunk of butter.
Simmer slow for a good half hour. Good eating the next day too."
