Marinade for lamb (previous page)
¾ oz package brown gravy mix
1 c. cold water
water or dry white wine
1 t mint jelly (or more to taste)
pinch of thyme
salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Strain lamb marinade into medium saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until reduced by 1/2 - to about 1 cup.
In another saucepan, stir gravy mix and 1 c. cold water until blended. Add reduced marinade and bring to boil. Stir constantly. May be made several hours ahead and will thicken as it sits.
Stir drippings from lamb into gravy, add additional water or wine to obtain desired consistency. Season to taste.
