1 stick of butter
3 T flour
salt and pepper
2 C milk
1 pkg. Cracker Barrel Cheese (grated)
8 oz. macaroni (cooked as directed)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni, drain, and set aside in large oven-safe bowl.

Melt butter in pan on medium / low heat. Slowly add in flour while constantly stirring to avoid clumps. Slowly add milk while continuing to stir until mixture thickens. If needed add a small amount of cheese to help thicken. Once sauce has thickened, pour over macaroni. Top with remainder of cheese. Bake at 350º for approximately 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Sister (Lea Gurley) was famous for her macaroni and cheese. She invited me over one afternoon to teach me how to make this recipe - one of my fondest memories with her.
