2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
½ c. shortening
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
½ c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and sugar in mixing bowl mixing well. In a saucepan, put butter, shortening, cocoa and water to bring to a rapid boil. Pour in buttermilk and add with remaining ingredients. Mix and turn into 2 greased and floured 9 inch pans. Bake in a 400º oven 30 minutes or until done. Make icing 5 minutes before cake is done.
