Ingredients:
1/3 c. Sugar
1/3 c. Butter
1 c. Milk, Scalded
1 Yeast Cake (or 2 1/4 t. Dry Yeast)
1/4 c. Warm Water
2 Eggs
Flour to make stiff batter

3/4 t. Cinnamon
few grains salt
3 T. Almonds, Blanched and Chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl add sugar butter and salt. Pour scalded milk over the top and let set until lukewarm. In a small bowl dissolve yeast in water and then add to milk mixture when lukewarm. Add two beaten eggs, and enough flour to make a stiff batter (probably about 4 cups). Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. While the batter is rising in a large bowl mix breadcrumbs, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and almonds. Set aside. Beat risen batter well and spread evenly into 2 buttered, shallow, round tins. Cover each with the crumb mixture and let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place. Bake in a moderate oven (350-375 F) for about 30 minutes.
