1 C. of Dried Beans or Peas
3 Pints Water
Hot Milk
1 T. Flour
1 T. Butter
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash Beans or Peas and soak overnight in water to cover. Drain and place in sauce pan. Add 3 quarts boiling water and cook until very soft. Strain and thin with hot milk until like thin cream.

For one quart of soup blend butter and flour in a small bowl. Gradually add 1 cup of the soup to butter mixture and stir until thickened. Add that mixture to pot of soup and stir. Season with salt and pepper.
