5 or 6 Large Onions, Chopped fine
1/3 c. Butter
2 T. Flour
1 Quart Scalded Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a frying pan and add onions. Cover and cook slowly for 15 minutes then uncover and allow to brown but not burn. Sprinkle with flour and stir until pale brown. then slowly add milk stirring until smooth. Season and simmer for ten minutes. Serve without straining with croutons.
