Combine and set aside:
1 c. lukewarm water
1 oz. cake of yeast
1 T. sugar
Heat: 1 c. milk (just about to the boiling point)
Add: 7 T. lard (not melted)
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. salt
Let cool.
Directions:
Directions:
Add 3 beaten eggs and 2 c. flour. Beat with mixer until creamy.
Then add the water and yeast mixture plus 4-5 c. of flour. Refrigerate.
(You can leave in fridge overnight - ready to shape and bake for the next day!)
