Moms Sticky Buns Recipe

1 frozen bread dough loves (white or wheat)
1 1/2c Butter (softened)
1 1/2c Brown sugar
1-2t Cinnamon
3/4c Pecans or Walnuts (chopped) (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 180º

Boil 2 quarts of water in medium pan

Grease Loaf pan
Grease dough with margarine and place in loaf pan

***TURN OFF OVEN***

Place hot water in lowest rack of oven
Place loaf pan on highest rack possible

******And "for god's sake"© don't forget to turn the oven off*****

Remove from oven when dough rises 1 - 2 inches above top of pan (aprox 2 hours)

Roll dough out (about 1/2" thick) on a floured cutting board.
Spread 3/4c butter evenly over dough followed by:
3/4c brown sugar,
2t cinnamon,
nuts (optional)
Roll dough up for slicing
Cut dough into 1" slices
Fill pie plates with the slices
Cover with tea towel and let rise for 1 hour in a warm location

Prepare Sticky sauce:
Combine 3/4c brown sugar, 3/4c butter, 1/4c water in small pan over medium heat and stir until smooth

When dough rises to top of pie pans, pour sticky sauce over slices allowing sauce to seep thru and spread to bottom of pan.

Place in oven and bake for 20-30 minutes. (check at 20 minutes and every few minutes until done)

Remove from oven and flip pan over on a dinner plate... cool and enjoy...

Serve with Hot Chocolate!

This was a recipe my Mom, Sara Ann Wilkins Dumm shared with me. I remember her making these during the cold winter weekends and holidays when I would return home from college for a visit.
