1/2 c butter melted
4 c powdered sugar
1 1/2 cps peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c semisweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the melted butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter and the vanilla extract together and mix well.Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on wax paper. Then refrigerate again while you prepare the chocolate.
In the top half of a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and shortening stirring constantly. Use a toothpick to dip balls into the melted chocolate, leaving a small area uncovered. This makes the balls resemble buckeyes. Place the buckeyes on wax paper. Once you have dipped all the peanut butter balls use your finger to blend in the toothpick holes. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
