Prepare vegetables and combine all ingredients except cheese and croutons in a buttered casserole dish. Top with the grated cheese and croutons. Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

When meat is tender, add onions and celery; cook until crisp tender. Add remaining ingredients except cornstarch paste, and heat through. Mix in paste stirring constantly until thickened to desired consistency. Serve on rice or noodles.

Hint: This could be cooked in individual shells instead of a casserole dish.
